I am currently studying English Literature and Culture at Edinburgh Napier University, a course which provides really engaging, diverse learning giving me far more theoretical and historical contexts to structure my writing around. I wouldn't want to say I wrote in any particular genre as I am a huge fan of so many but my writing tends to follow an Edinburgh tradition of duplicity with characters struggling with their own identities as well as the the self-righteous and dishonest nature of our society. I have written one full, unpublished novel when I was 19 which will take some editing before I can be close to happy with it, and I am nearing completion of a first draft of a short novel which I hope will represent the work I want to produce far better. I have written some poetry and short stories without being prolific as my spare time is wasted mindlessly right now and I hope to write far more than I have up until this point. Books and their authors are my greatest passion outside of music and football; my favourite novels thus far are; 'Crime & Punishment', 'Fiesta; the sun also rises' and 'Brave New World' alongside a myriad of other stuff that I wish I was able to just talk with people about daily! Most recently however I have been enjoying novels by James Kelman and Ursula Le Guin as well as the poetry of Fernando Pessoa, WB Yeats, Allen Ginsberg and Walt Whitman. Hopefully the work I put up here will be enjoyable for whoever reads it! Thank you all!
